Hummerbeck Kingfisher Hide

Located in Hummerbeck just outside of West Auckland on the A68 our Private Kingfisher Hide is proving very popular with photographers and wildlife fans alike.

The hide is available to hire on a 1 booking per day basis at £65 per person. It will house two photographers.

Your distance from camera to Kingfisher perch is approximately 3-4 m

Generally, this hide is for perching kingfisher shots with a clean even-toned background. The active ‘whacking’ fish shot is also very common, Kevin our resident Kingfisher is an avid fan of using the perch in front of the hide to "whack" his catch!

We are regularly visited by three kingfishers both male and female and also have Egrets, Herons and Buzzards within spotting distance from the hide.

Please note the hide is located in a private location, booking is essential.

There are Toilet facilities on site, private parking and Tea/Coffee making facilities a short walk from the hide.

Suitable footwear is recommended.
